CauseWise for WordPress

Install the plugin, paste your tracking code, and you're done.

Download Plugin

Version 0.4.0

Three steps

  1. 1

    Install the plugin

In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Upload the ZIP and activate it.

  2. 2

    Connect CauseWise

Open Settings → CauseWise Analytics. Paste your tracking code from the CauseWise dashboard, and add a management API key on that settings screen if you want analytics inside WordPress. The key stays on the server.

  3. 3

    You're done!

CauseWise automatically tracks page views. WordPress shows page views, sessions, traffic, and top pages on the Dashboard, with the full analytics screen under CauseWise. Open the same site in your CauseWise dashboard for the advanced reports.

Track a button click

A Button block can send one named event through the CauseWise tracker already on the page. You can add safe properties, such as where the button sits. The button label, its link, and form fields are not collected.

  1. Select a Button block.
  2. Enable CauseWise tracking.
  3. Name the event.
  4. Publish the page. Clicks are tracked on the public site.

Show analytics on a page

The CauseWise category includes Analytics Overview, Traffic Chart, Top Pages, Referrers, Goals, and Recent Events. The matching shortcodes are [causewise_stats], [causewise_traffic], [causewise_top_pages], [causewise_referrers], [causewise_goals], and [causewise_events]. Choose today, 7 days, or 30 days. Visitors see a sign-in message. The numbers load only for a signed-in user who can manage CauseWise, and they are not saved in the page. An empty goal list says that no goals have been configured yet.

Not seeing visits yet?

Paste the tracking code from your dashboard. If CauseWise is already added in your theme, remove that copy so each visit is counted once.
